Super Falcons Captain Rasheedat Ajibade has begun her recovery process following successful surgery to treat a fractured fibula sustained during Nigeria’s second-leg encounter against Comoros in the second round of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic qualifiers.

After the incident at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State, Paris Saint-Germain confirmed that Ajibade sustained a fibula fracture and will undergo surgery before starting rehabilitation under the club’s medical team.

The Paris Saint-Germain Féminine Forward confirmed the successful procedure on October 17 through a social media update, expressing gratitude to everyone who supported her with prayers and messages following the injury.

Her return to recovery is a positive step towards resuming competitive football, even as both club and country are yet to provide a specific timeline for her comeback.

At the moment, the Nigerian International remains focused on her rehabilitation programme as she works to regain full fitness, with supporters eager to see her back in action.
