It is Matchday for the Nigeria U-17 Women’s National Team, the Flamingos, as they take on Burkina Faso in their third fixture of the WAFU-B U-17 Girls Cup in Côte d’Ivoire.

The Flamingos head into the encounter with confidence after making a strong start to their campaign, recording a 5-0 victory over Niger before securing a 4-2 win against Ghana.

Coach Hakeem Busari and his players will now look to maintain their winning momentum against Burkina Faso, with consistency, discipline and tactical discipline expected to remain key to Nigeria’s approach.

Captain Chidi Harmony has also stressed the importance of following the coaches’ instructions, noting that the players have been working hard to understand and apply the tactical plans given to them before and during matches.

With another important fixture ahead, the Flamingos are staying determined to produce another strong team performance in the WAFU B Girls Cup and continue their preparations for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
