Super Falcons Forward Gift Monday has been traded from Washington Spirit to National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) expansion side Boston Legacy FC after two seasons with the Washington Spirit DC.
Monday joined Washington Spirit in March 2025 from Spanish side UD Tenerife and quickly established herself as an important attacking option, leaving a notable mark during her time with the club.
The Nigerian International made 48 appearances across all competitions for the Spirit, recording 12 goals and three assists.
One of her standout moments came in September 2025, when she scored a hat-trick against Houston Dash in 35 minutes and 52 seconds, setting a record for the fastest hat-trick from kickoff in NWSL history.
Monday also proved pivotal in Washington Spirit’s 2025 playoff run, scoring twice to power the club to the NWSL Championship final.
It marks a fresh chapter for her as she joins expansion side Boston Legacy FC ahead of their inaugural NWSL campaign.
The transfer draws the curtain on her time at Washington Spirit, where her goals and overall attacking contribution were instrumental to the club’s season.
