Nigeria’s Flamingos have stepped up preparations for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup with their first training session in Morocco following their arrival in Casablanca.

The U-17 women’s national team took to the training pitch as the coaching crew began putting the players through their paces ahead of Nigeria’s opening fixture at the tournament.

The session provided an opportunity for the Flamingos to shake off the effects of their journey, regain match sharpness and begin working on the tactical and technical aspects of their World Cup campaign.

The Nigerian contingent arrived in Casablanca on Wednesday morning and is currently based at the Ibis Hotel as the team settles into its tournament environment.

With the competition fast approaching, the Flamingos are expected to intensify their training programme in the coming days as they continue preparations for their bid to make a strong impression on the global stage.

The 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco will bring together the best young women’s teams in the world, with Nigeria aiming to add another memorable chapter to its rich history in the competition.
