The Newly signed BK Häcken Forward Joy Omewa has expressed her excitement ahead of making her first appearance for Nigeria’s Super Falcons at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The Talented Striker has been one of the standout performers in Nigeria’s recent international friendlies, impressing with her pace, movement, and finishing ability. Omewa further strengthened her case for a place in the squad after scoring a brace in the Super Falcons’ last international friendly against Senegal.

Speaking about the opportunity to represent Nigeria at the continental tournament, Omewa described the moment as the fulfilment of a lifelong dream.

“I am super excited this is a dream come through truly being wanting this for the longest time I am so glad the time has finally come”.
