The Flamingos Captain Chidi Harmony has expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to lead the Nigeria U-17 Women’s National Team as they prepare for their third fixture against Burkina Faso at the WAFU-B U-17 Girls Cup in Côte d’Ivoire.

Speaking during the pre-match press conference, Harmony described her role as captain of the Flamingos as a great honour and appreciated the support of the coaching staff, team officials and the Nigeria Football Federation.

“It is an honour to be the captain of the Flamingos, and I really appreciate the coaches, the staff and the NFF Board,” Harmony said.

The Captain also spoke about the team’s preparation ahead of the important encounter, insisting that the players are ready for the challenge.

According to Harmony, one of the major factors behind the team’s performances so far has been their ability to follow the instructions given by the coaching staff.

She explained that the players make a conscious effort to remember the coaches’ instructions before the game and continue to apply them throughout the match.

The Flamingos Captain believes maintaining that discipline and understanding of the tactical instructions will be important as Nigeria face Burkina Faso in their third fixture.

With Nigeria already recording victories over Niger and Ghana, Harmony and her teammates will be looking to maintain their strong run and produce another disciplined performance against Burkina Faso.
