The Super Falcons of Nigeria have welcomed five more players into camp as preparations continue for their 2028 Olympic qualifying fixture against Comoros, bringing the total number of players in camp to 26.

The latest arrivals include Super Falcons first-choice goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, who recently joined Brighton & Hove Albion in England, Washington Spirit forward Gift Monday, BK Häcken forward Joy Omewa, Uchenna Kanu of Cruz Azul Femenil in Mexico and Portsmouth Ladies goalkeeper Comfort Erhabor.

Their arrival has further strengthened the squad in camp as the interim head coach and his technical crew continue preparations for the Olympic qualifying assignment.

Before the latest arrivals, 21 players had already reported to camp. The group included AS Roma defender Shukurat Oladipo, SCU Torreense forward Shakirat Moshood, Beşiktaş defender Glory Ogbonna, MK Dons midfielder Favour Omenazu, Nasarawa Amazons defender Farida Abdulwahab and Edo Queens defender Tumininu Adeshina.

Also in camp are Nasarawa Amazons midfielder Joy Igbokwe and midfielder Fatimoh Solaty, Edo Queens goalkeeper Christiana Uzoma, Dynamo Brest forward Blessing Nkor, Edo Queens defender Valentina Uroko, Bayelsa Queens defender Glory Edet, Rivers Queens defender Sandra John and Fenerbahçe defender Suliat Abideen.

China-based forward Folashade Ijamilusi, Inter Milan midfielder Toni Payne, Al-Hilal midfielder Christy Ucheibe and SL Benfica forward Janet Akekoromowei have also joined the squad.

The camp has also been boosted by the arrival of some of the Super Falcons’ established internationals, including captain Rasheedat Ajibade and Paris Saint-Germain teammate Jennifer Echegini, as well as Chicago Stars defender Michelle Alozie.

With 26 players now in camp, the Super Falcons have continued their preparations in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, where the team has already completed two training sessions.

The technical crew is expected to use the remaining days in camp to fine-tune the team’s tactical approach, assess the players and build cohesion ahead of the qualifying fixture against Comoros.
