Super Falcons Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has cautioned Nigeria against underestimating Comoros despite securing a 2-0 victory in the first leg of their second-round qualifier for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

Michelle Alozie and Uchenna Kanu scored in the second half to give Nigeria a two-goal advantage ahead of the return fixture, but Nnadozie insists that Comoros deserve respect as the contest remains undecided.

Speaking after the match, the goalkeeper stressed that a team’s quality should not be judged by the name of its country, pointing to the competitiveness of women’s football in Africa.

“Comoros are not a bad side. We all saw what happened at WAFCON. Football is not a game where you describe a team by the name of their country,” Nnadozie said.

Looking ahead to the second leg, the Nigeria international said the Super Falcons would continue working hard and give their best, while acknowledging that Comoros would be determined to respond after the first-leg defeat.

“We are not done yet. We will try all we can to keep the score going. It is not going to be an easy one, as the opposing team will try to get a point in the next game,” she added.

Nnadozie also urged her teammates to remain focused and maintain their work ethic as they prepare for the return encounter.
“We will keep our heads up and keep working hard,” she said.

With a 2-0 advantage from the first leg, the Super Falcons will head into the return fixture knowing that the job is not yet complete. Nnadozie’s message is clear: Nigeria must remain focused, respect their opponents and maintain their intensity as they seek to secure qualification for the next round of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic qualifiers.
