Super Falcons players have taken to social media to express their emotions following Nigeria’s disappointing quarterfinal exit from the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, while keeping the hopes of Nigerians and supporters alive ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup playoffs.

The Super Falcons suffered a 1-0 defeat to Cameroon, missing out on automatic qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Despite the setback, the players remain determined to fight for another opportunity through the playoff route.

Midfielder Christy Ucheibe acknowledged the disappointment and called for reflection ahead of the next challenge, writing:

Uchenna Kanu also shared a message of optimism, simply writing:
