Madrid’s blue-haired heroine, Rasheedat Ajibade, lit up Camp Municipal Les Planes with a stunning goal, but Atlético de Madrid Femenino were ultimately held to a 1-1 draw by Levante Las Planas in the Spanish Primera División Femenina.
Ajibade, affectionately known as the “girl with the blue hair,” was a constant threat throughout the match. In the 32nd minute, she pounced on a delightful through ball from Xènia Pérez, unleashing a right-footed shot from the center of the box that found the back of the net. It was a moment of pure class, showcasing Ajibade’s composure and finishing ability.

However, Levante refused to surrender. They kept Atlético on their toes, and in the 79th minute, their persistence paid off. Anissa Lahmari capitalized on a set-piece situation, her right-footed shot from close range beating the Madrid keeper and cancelling out Ajibade’s opener.
Ajibade remained influential even after her goal, initiating attacks and tracking back tirelessly. She had several other chances to grab a winner, including a shot blocked by resolute defenders and another saved by the Levante goalkeeper.
Despite her best efforts, the score remained unchanged. Ajibade was eventually substituted in the 85th minute, but the substitution didn’t alter the outcome.
The draw sees Atlético climb to 3rd place in the league table, but they remain 9 points behind leaders Barcelona Femenino. They’ll next face 4th-placed Levante Femenino in a mouthwatering clash, where Ajibade will be hoping to weave her magic once again and help her team close the gap at the top.
