Nigerian winger Tony Payne was on fire for Sevilla Feminino on Saturday and instigated a fight back for the away side in their dramatic 3-3 draw against Madrid CF Femenino in the Spanish Primera División Femenina!
Madrid CF took an early lead through Mônica in 13th minute of the match day 16 encounter of the Spanish women’s league. Again, she doubled the lead for the host with a follow-up goal in 35th minute following a saved penalty.
Despite a quiet first half for Nigeria’s Tony Payne, she came alive in the second and pulled one back for Sevilla with a smart finish after a clever assist from Amanda Sampedro in the 63rd minute.
However, Sevilla’s fight-back attempt was put to a slight jeopardy after Gio Queiroz restored Madrid’s lead in the 77th minute. Payne almost reduced the deficit again but was denied in the 81st minute.
