Nigeria international Rofiat Imuran has just signed a three-year contract with London City Lionesses, joining the team on a free transfer at Hayes Lane.

At just 20 years old, Imuran brings impressive experience to the table, having played two successful seasons with Stade de Reims in the French Première Ligue, helping the team secure consecutive top six finishes.

As a key player for Nigeria’s Super Falcons, Imuran has already made a name for herself on the international stage, representing her country in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and the 2024 FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup..

London City Lionesses’ coach, Jocelyn Prêcheur, is thrilled to have Imuran on board, praising her speed, left-footedness, and ability to attack the space behind defenders.
He notes that while she still needs to develop, Imuran has huge talent and potential, making her a perfect fit for the team.
Imuran herself is excited to join London City Lionesses, citing the coach’s vision and the desire for a new challenge as reasons for her move. She’s already feeling welcomed by the team and is eager to contribute to their success on the pitch.
Imuran will be available for selection on October 13, as London City Lionesses face Charlton Athletic at Hayes Lane in the Barclays Women’s Championship.
Added Imuran: “I’m very excited to join London City Lionesses and start a new chapter in my career in England. Everyone has been so welcoming since I arrived and I look forward to being able to help the team on the pitch.
“I wanted to come to London City because the coach presented an interesting project and I wanted a different challenge.”
