Super Falcons Goalkeeper Yetunde Balogun has told www.superfalconsshow.com that she is looking forward to an incredible experience, representing Nigeria at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in New Zealand and Australia later in July.
The AS St Ettienne netminder has been one of the reliable cover ups for Paris FC Goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, ever since she pitched tents with the Nigerian team two years ago.
The US born goalie, was also instrumental as her french club AS St Ettienne gained promotion to play in the French Women’s League top tier and she is hoping to keep the same form for the Super Falcons, when the World Cup kick starts in July.
“The World Cup is the biggest football stage in the World and evey footballer wants to play in it. I am particularly sure that the team has been improving and we are going to have a great time at the World Cup.
“I have been working hard to keep fit and hopefully make the team and think my hard work will keep me going.
“Definitely, its going to be an incredible outing for the Super Falcons, we hope to progress from the group stage and go even further. We are United as a team and we will keep working towards achieving all these.”
