Falconets Head Coach, Moses Aduku, has expressed strong confidence in his team’s readiness and resolve ahead of Saturday’s crucial third-round encounter against Senegal’s Lionesses de la Téranga in the Poland 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.

Speaking ahead of the fixture, Aduku emphasized the Falconets’ thorough preparation, tactical discipline, and growing belief within the squad, noting that the team understands the importance of the occasion and is fully focused on delivering a positive result.
“We respect our opponents, but we are confident in our own strengths,” Aduku said. “The players have shown great commitment in training, and they understand what is at stake. Our objective is clear, to get a strong result and put ourselves in a good position going into the next leg.”
Nigeria will count on the quality and experience of key players such as Janet Akekoromowei, whose physical presence and attacking intelligence continue to trouble defences, Ramotallah Kareem, known for her pace and creativity in midfield, and Shakirat Moshood, whose composure and work rate add balance to the team.
The Falconets have built a reputation as one of Africa’s most consistent forces at youth level, and Aduku believes this pedigree, combined with the hunger of a new generation, will be decisive against a determined Senegalese side.
With team spirit high and preparations completed, the Falconets are aiming to assert their authority and take a significant step toward securing qualification for the Poland 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
