Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie was a wall in net for Paris FC Féminines on Friday, earning a clean sheet and potentially a Woman of the Match performance in their 3-0 victory over Montpellier Féminines.

Nnadozie’s heroics helped Paris FC maintain their third-place position in the French Division 1 Féminine league.
The home team dominated the first half, scoring all three goals before the break. Kessya Bussy opened the scoring in the 5th minute with a well-taken goal assisted by Clara Matéo. Matéo herself got on the scoresheet in the 20th minute, capitalizing on a through pass from Julie Dufour. The third goal came just before halftime, as Bussy found the top corner of the net with a powerful shot.
Despite Montpellier Féminines’ attempts to claw back into the game, Nandozie stood tall in goal. In the 57th minute, she made a spectacular save to deny Cyrielle Blanc’s well-struck shot. Again, in the 76th minute, Nandozie came to the rescue, thwarting Attempt Léa Khelifi’s header with another impressive save.
The Nigerian shot-stopper proved her worthy of a woman of the match award by making another solid save in the 83rd minute, thwarting Montpellier Féminines’ Léa Khelifi’s attempt at a right-footed shot from the right side of the box and maintaining yet another clean sheet.
Nnadozie’s assured performance will undoubtedly boost her confidence heading into the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympic qualifiers, where she’ll represent the Super Falcons of Nigeria against South Africa’s Bayana Bayana. Can Nnadozie replicate her club heroics and help Nigeria secure a spot in the Olympics?
