Alozie Shines, Wins Player Of The Match As Houston Leaves Orlando Prideless

Super Falcons Defender Michelle Alozie was in great form as she scored an important goal, to help her side beat Orlando Pride in the NWSL at the Shell Energy Stadium on Saturday, thereby earning a back to back clean sheet wins.

Houston Dash are the only team to keep clean sheets in four of their 10 games this season, a feat that has been hailed in the league.

Midfielder Sophie Hirst scores her first career goal in the sixth minute of the game, after Orlando’s goalkeeper Anna Moorehouse punched the ball away from goal and Hirst took advantage, as it fell to her feet.

Nigerian star, Michelle Alozie scored in the 41st minute, to notch her first goal of the season. The ball was deflected by an Orlando Pride Defender and was in the patch of a streaking Alozie. The Super Falcons player, then cut into the box and took a left-footed shot into the back of the net.

Alozie was awarded the player of the match, for her outstanding performance in the game.
