Super Falcons and Besiktas Of Turkey Defender Glory Ogbonna has praised her Parents for sacrificing alot for her and further revealed how she almost quit Football, after she suffered a knee injury.

The former Ibom Angels Defender noted that her father’s sparking passion for Football, not only led to unremitting fandom, but a career that has made her played in NWFL Premieship, Sweden, Spain and now Turkey, including being a regular with the Super Falcons over the last few years.

“I remember the day my mum was crying as she witnessed an Orthopedic Doctor fixing my knee injury and I was shouting.

“Then, My mum advised me to stop playing Football, because of the pain she saw me going through and noted that she is proud of me regardless. But my Dad, being an Ex-Footballer himself gave me the backing and encouraged me all through the therapy, untill I became fit and here I am today.” She said.

She has gone on to play for Umea IK, Sweden, Santa Teresa FC, Spain, ALG Spor, Turkey and now Besiktas.
