Kareem Ramotalahi was named Player of the Match after producing an outstanding performance in Nigeria’s exclusive 10-1 victory over New Caledonia at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
The Forward made her first full start of the tournament after featuring briefly in the dying minutes of Nigeria’s goalless draw against China.

Ramotalahi wasted no time in making her mark on the game, opening the scoring for the Falconets from the penalty spot in the 17th minute. Her goal was also Nigeria’s first goal of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
She continued to trouble the New Caledonia defence throughout the match and added another goal in the 27th minute to complete her brace before half-time.

Ramotalahi completed her hat-trick in the 64th minute, capping a memorable performance on her first full appearance of the tournament.
Her three goals played an important role in the Falconets’ massive victory, which secured Nigeria’s place in the knockout stage of the competition.

The achievement adds another special moment to Ramotalahi’s growing international career. She was also part of the Nigeria U-20 Women’s Team that won the 2025 WAFU B U-20 Girls Cup.
After her remarkable display against New Caledonia, Ramotalahi will continue with the same confidence and energy go into the knockout stage as the Falconets continue their quest for success in Poland.
