Italian Serie A Femminile side confirmed today that Babajide has signed a deal that will keep her at the Stadio Tre Fontane until June 30, 2027.

It’s the latest chapter in a remarkable career that’s taken the pacey forward across England, Spain, and now, Italy, a journey marked by resilience, ambition, and the unrelenting drive to excel at the highest levels of the game.
Born Omorinsola Omowunmi Ajike Babajide, the 26-year-old began her professional football journey in England, featuring for clubs like Millwall, Watford, Liverpool, and Brighton & Hove Albion. Known for her blistering speed, directness, and flair on the flanks, Babajide quickly made a name for herself as one of the most exciting young wingers in the English women’s game.

In 2022, seeking new challenges and European experience, she moved to Spain’s Liga F, where she enjoyed spells with Real Betis and Tenerife, further refining her craft and showcasing her attacking versatility.

Though she represented England at youth levels from 2015 to 2019, Babajide’s heart ultimately led her back to her roots. In 2023, she made the emotional decision to switch international allegiance, joining the Nigerian Super Falcons, Africa’s most successful women’s national team.

Her addition to the Nigerian squad brought a fresh dimension to the Nigerian side, with her European experience and dynamic play style proving invaluable in continental and global competitions.
Now, as she puts pen to paper with AS Roma, Babajide embarks on what could be the most thrilling phase of her career. The Roman club fresh off recent domestic successes and growing European ambitions, offers the perfect stage for the Nigerian winger to shine.
Speaking on her move, Babajide expressed excitement about the challenge ahead:
“I’m honoured to join a club like AS Roma, with its rich history and ambitious vision. I look forward to giving my all for the team, growing as a player, and representing Nigeria proudly on this new stage.”
