Nigerian attacker Onyi Echegini continues her dream start with Juventus Women, scoring a dramatic late equalizer to salvage a 2-2 draw against Fiorentina in the Italian Serie A femminile.

Fiorentina started strong, with Medelen Janogy putting them ahead in the 19th minute. Juventus responded quickly, equalizing through Julia Grosso just seven minutes later. However, Janogy wasn’t done, grabbing her second goal in the 32nd minute to send Fiorentina into the break with the lead.

Despite creating chances, Juventus struggled to find the net in the second half. With time running out, their coach made a triple substitution in the 70th minute, bringing on fresh legs, including Echegini. The gamble paid off instantly as the Nigerian forward netted the equalizer just four minutes later.
This goal marked Echegini’s second Serie A goal in just two appearances for Juventus since joining the club in January. Her late heroics ensured Juve maintained their second-place position, while Fiorentina remain third.
