French Club, Paris FC, has confirmed the departure of Nigerian Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, bringing an end to a remarkable five-year journey with the French side.

Nnadozie arrived in Paris in January 2020, signing from Nigerian champions Rivers Angels. Barely out of her teens, the then-19-year-old was already one of Africa’s brightest goalkeeping prospects, having shone for Nigeria at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France. It didn’t take long for her to make her mark in Europe.

With a commanding presence in goal, sharp reflexes, and an air of calm authority beyond her years, Nnadozie quickly established herself as Paris FC’s undisputed number one. Her performances consistently drew praise, but it was during the 2023–2024 season that she truly cemented her status as one of the best in Europe.

That season, Nnadozie was a colossus between the posts, delivering save after crucial save, leading by example, and helping Paris FC to a historic campaign. Her consistency and brilliance earned her the Best Goalkeeper award in the Arkema Première Ligue, a fitting recognition of her dominance in France’s top flight.

Perhaps the crowning moment of her Paris FC story came during the club’s memorable run to the 2024 Coupe de France Féminine title. Nnadozie’s heroics in goal proved decisive in several matches, none more so than in the nerve-wracking final, where her crucial stops and calm leadership guided the club to lift the trophy, one of the proudest moments in Paris FC’s recent history.

Announcing her departure on X (formerly Twitter), Paris FC posted a heartfelt message celebrating their outgoing star:
“Merci, Chiamaka! From your first save to your last stand in Parisian colours, you’ve inspired a generation. You leave as a champion, a leader, and forever a part of the Paris FC family. Bonne chance for your next chapter!”
For Nnadozie, it marks the end of a significant chapter but also the dawn of new challenges and opportunities. At 24, she remains one of the most promising and accomplished goalkeepers in the women’s game, a proud ambassador for Nigeria and African football on the global stage.
While speculation will now turn to her next destination, one thing is certain: wherever she goes, Chiamaka Nnadozie will continue to set the standard between the posts, inspiring young girls in Nigeria, France, and beyond to chase their dreams with unyielding belief.
Merci et au revoir, Chiamaka Nnadozie.
